Despite what made the headlines about the state of human rights, 2017 was full of stories of people everywhere standing up and saying no to corporate abuse; taking to the streets to protest government corruption; and calling out unjust criminal justice practices. They just didn’t get covered. Throughout the year, NMAP worked with advocates and organizations around the world to tell stories that reframe some of the toughest human rights issues of our time.
