Bring it Back: Abdul Basit’s Story of Being Disabled on Pakistan’s Death Row

Abdul Basit was sent to death row without proper representation, was held in fetters in filthy conditions, contracting a form of meningitis that left him paralyzed and awaiting death by hanging. Abdul’s story is just one among many examples of Pakistan’s death row sentencing that breaks international law. In collaboration with Justice Project Pakistan’s #BringItBack campaign against the death penalty, we documented the stories of families with loved ones on death row.
